Write My Paper
Write My Paper Plan your paper from beginning to end before you start writing; most students usually spend too much time either researching, writing or doing editing. Creating a draft or an outline is important as you essentially create a Work Breakdown Structure. This outline will act as a check so that you know how much time is allotted to each task. Whenever the human resource ministry decides a curriculum, they do proper research and frame the syllabus accordingly. For example, psychology taught to high school students will be different from those taught at the graduate level and the postgraduate level. In addition to that, it also enables the reader to do research in-depth about the given topic by using the research you have used for writing the academic paper. However, there are some unwritten rules about the sources you need to use, as well as the format you need to use while writing the bibliography and they are as follows. This factor should be considered and can come through past experiences of other people. There is no doubt that as bibliography remains an important part of any assignment and you need to get the best grade you need to get it correct, both its format as well as the content. The main focus of bibliography is to give credit to authors whose work has been consulted and included in the given assignment. Recruit a trained writer in your topic whoâll do the task for you today. More than 96% or orders arrive on time or beforehand. Such a turnaround is perhaps the best among all the essay services to date. We respect your deadlines, always ready to walk the extra mile to help you fit in the schedule. To score 75% and above, we offer you an academic paper writer with expertise, credentials, degree, and a strong command of English. If you feel that certain parts of work could use some improvements, then your writer will do it as asked. Reaching out to your writer asking about the custom writing process and discussing the progress so far is absolutely free. Nothing gives your professor incentive to fail you like a paper that isnât well-researched or one that doesnât even show any level of understanding on the essay or research topic. You need to give yourself ample time to understand the topic before you can even begin the writing. You can go with some agencies who have worked for your friends or family or can check essay writer reviews on the web before deciding. A check on reliability will give you assurance regarding your money as well as quality over other things. The third and final factor that is important when writing quality content includes the format of the bibliography. Currently, some common format for any bibliography entry includes MLA, APA, Harvard, and Chicago among others. While grading the paper, even a small mistake in the entry may lead to a reduction in grade. One more issue with the format of the bibliography is that it is updated by the concerned authorities at the regular interval and so it is difficult to memorize and write. A quality check is then carried out by the website's writers â" These editors check the document thoroughly for plagiarism, grammatical errors and other issues. They match the document with the order's demands and align the content accordingly. A set deadline is to be mentioned for the writer to set a pace and other specifications. These include the number of pages required, the font size, the language difficulty level, and the type of jargon to be used. Therefore, the need for experienced writers arises as it becomes easy to get excellent assignments, which will ensure good grades and better future aspects. the price was ok considering the urgency of my order. Assign free revisions to make a paper even better. A PRO Masters level writer will do your essay in 3-6 hours. A highly reliable writer that always delivers plagiarism-free papers ahead of the deadline. Dear customer, we are so happy that you liked the delivered paper! If you come back to us, you can request the same writer for your order. They delivered my paper on time, but the last paragraph didnât really meet my requirements. they wrote my essay that was due in 10 hours and literally saved my life.

Get The Best Essay
Get The Best Essay When you get great results after the first two orders, you can be sure you found a loyal partner for academic writing. You want to see experience not only in the comments, but in the main reviews as well. You can trust a team that orders papers from different services before reviewing them. The editors place orders and review all aspects of a service in detail. The service will take your money and refuse to offer refunds. Can someone explain to me why so many people are obsessed with word count and page count? If youâre a writer, shouldnât writing well be the most important thing? Why do writers seem to obsess over word count and page count? There are instances when youâre given an assignment, not by word count, but assigned by the number of pages. â If you need to figure out words per page, you can use a words per page calculator. The writer may be late with the delivery or they may complete a useless paper. If you start looking for the best essay services review, youâll inevitably encounter Best Essays being recommended as one of the most secure writing agencies. In fact, it probably can be done in 30 minutes or less. The time-consuming part of an essay is the research and how long that takes depends on how much you have to do. But the actual writing of the essay shouldnât take too long at all. I think an important thing to point out here is that thereâs a huge difference between writing a 1000 word essay and writing a good 1000 word essay. You can write an essay in hardly any time at all if you donât do the proper research and donât spend time editing what you wrote. Put your thesis statement in your first paragraph then make sure you refer to it several times within the essay then restate it in your conclusion. Once you find a great writing agency that offers all kinds of content for its users, you can stick with it. That should be enough for you to continue order papers from that team. Itâs been available since 1997, and it doesnât have a single stain on its reputation. The prices at College Paper are within industry average, so the customers wonât get overcharged for their orders. Next, itâs possible to check the progress of an order or simply contact customer support for an inquiry via a live chat, Messenger, email, or phone, which is convenient. Itâs recommended that you check whether the particular service you want to hire is legit and reliable. If youâre going to write a good essay, itâs going to take more time. You should always give yourself more time than you think youâre going to need to get it done. If you already have all the research done and know what you want to say, then a 1000 word essay shouldnât take more than an hour to write. The reason that teachers donât assign a number of pages anymore is because itâs too easy to manipulate pages. When students used to write on typewriters, it was common for teachers to assign essays in number of pages. With the adoption of computers in the classroom, teachers switched from pages to work count because it was too easy for the computers to manipulate the font size and page size. By assigning a word count, teachers get a more accurate length of essay than they would if they assigned homework by pages. If the customer is not satisfied, we have a money back guarantee. We have over 450 dedicated essay writers who will happily write your essay even with 3 hrs. Well, there are no specific types of service available. However, taking into consideration the specifics of this service, I can say that it may somewhat help you with your essay. I would not recommend using it for any other serious assignments and probably not even for essays. You already have a topic and the paper outline it is time to start the writing. Begin by creating a thesis statement which must tell your reader the purpose of your essay. Read through your outline to help you create an appropriate thesis. Your thesis statement must state the topic and the main argument of your essay. The single statement must carry the overall response to the problem.

Are Sharks as Dangerous, as People Consider Them to Be
Are Sharks as Dangerous, as People Consider Them to Be? Among the richness of the animal world and the exciting images it offers fishes have never arrested too great an attention of human beings. Though, there are a lot of books, films and other media on virtually any kind of mammals, birds or lizards. There is hardly anything to be found being dedicated to fishes. With one exception, nevertheless. The exception is sharks, especially ââ¬â the great white shark or Carcharodon Carcharias. It is hard to imagine some other predator that inspires so much terror and disgust in humans, along with a kind of morbid fascination. The very image of its triangular fin gliding above the water imposes a kind of primeval terror upon people, being the embodiment of the ancient fear of being devoured alive by something alien and unfamiliar, coming from the uncharted depths of the sea. However, most of this fear may easily be tracked down to much more contemporary times, than some kind of genetic memory. We speak, of course, about a bestselling Peter Benchleyââ¬â¢s novel Jaws and its many film adaptations, spin-offs and imitations. The book about white sharks attacking, maiming and eating humans turned out to be a great success and actually created the image of a shark as a man-eater in the mass culture. The facts, however, testify rather differently. Although there was a number of documented shark attacks on people, their number is far less than one could have supposed taking their reputation into account, with only a small percentage of them being fatal. It seems that white sharks donââ¬â¢t like the taste of human flesh, or at least find it unfamiliar. As their only way of interacting with the outer world is biting, they often test-bite unfamiliar objects, including humans, but generally leave them alone afterwards, discovering that they are very unlike their usual food.

Feminism And The Feminist Movement - 1110 Words
William Fayson English 1102 Professor Williams I Spy Feminism In todayââ¬â¢s society if we asked people the first thing that came to their mind when they heard the word equality, my bet is that not many of them would say something along the lines of male versus female. Females before, during, and after the feminist movement have been subject to discrimination because of what doesnââ¬â¢t lie in between their legs. Females are often steered away from the things they enjoy doing simply because it may seem too masculine. Women in the past usually worked the positions of teachers or nurses, simply because that was seen as one of the jobs of the women. The feminist movement began because; during the time the world for women was strictly bound to the household. Taking care of children and feeding the man when he returned home for work was to be expected of these women. However, many people donââ¬â¢t fully understand the extent of what feminism is. Feminism involves a personal commitment that fights for the equal rights o f females and males politically, socially, and economically. AND feminism fights to end discrimination in all aspects of life. Donââ¬â¢t get me wrong, feminism does so much that it can cause people to come up with different depictions of what it is. These depictions often make people turn heads at the thought of feminist fighting for feminism. Feminism is NOT the superiority of one group over another. Pros And Cons Of Animal Cloning - 1277 Words
Animal Cloning Applications and Morality Concerns One fateful afternoon, a father discovers that their beloved pet kitten is deceased on the side of the roadway. The parents are worried about telling their children the sad news because they will be devastated. Luckily, the parents reach out to a company that offers animal cloning. With just a sample of the kittenââ¬â¢s DNA, they can produce an exact match and an identical copy that will soon replace their lost family pet. While this story demonstrates one practical use of animal cloning, there are many other reasons why animal cloning is beneficial. Larisa Rudenko, Ph.D., states that clones are genetic copies of an animal, similar to identical twins that are born at different timesâ⬠¦show more contentâ⬠¦This is not the only example of why cloning transgenic animals is important. Transgenic animals can also be used to produce pharmaceuticals, nutraceuticals, and xenotransplant organs that can be used in humans (Smith 4). There are hundreds of thousands of people waiti ng for an organ transplant in the United States. If more transgenic animals were created, the dependency on human donors would be reduced. Another benefit of cloning is that extinct or endangered species could be brought back to past populations levels. For example, dinosaurs could be revived. Research Essay Youth - Identity and Digital Media
Question: Write about theResearch Essayfor Youth, Identity and Digital Media. Answer: Introduction This study is based on the difference between the use of mobile phone in public space and in private space and its negative impact. The use of mobile phone has injected itself into the public places. Due to this the line between the public and private space has been blurred out. Now days the common part of background noise during picnics, bus rides, sidewalk strolls, grocery shopping excursions, waits in airport terminals and other venues. To note the response of these changes, views of different people were asked regarding general mobile phone etiquette in public. In this process around 10 people were interviewed to identify the difference between the use of cell phone in public and in private space and to know the disadvantages of excessive use of mobile phone. Different questions were asked to support the survey. Research Questions How can Purchase of Mobile Phone be Affected? We all know that cell phones have diverse use according to their necessities. The usage of mobile phone has taken a sudden increase in recent years, various factors are considered while taking decision of purchasing a new cell phone (Don 2008). The result of the survey showed that the important factors that influence purchases are pricing, size and weight, charging and operating facilities, recommendations from friends and colleagues, recommendation from neighbours and through advertising (Sherry 2011). How has the Concept of Friendship been Altered by Social Media? Yes, it is true that the concept of friendship has been changed due to the influence of social media. People start thinking their social media friends to be their true friends and forget the value of real life friends (Richard 2010). They have forgotten the rules of friendship. It is said that social media is that type of new platform which facilitates communication expansion and accelerates the process to connect and engage different people. To make real friends, one should always know the person well, and also develops and understanding regarding the likes and dislikes of that person. It is not the fault of social media but the blame is put to the wide net of connections (David 2008). Social media is responsible to change the ways of interaction, but still the rooted norms remains unaffected. Adjustments should be done to build relationships in the new phase of platform. What are the Consequences of Excessive use of Mobile Phones in Public Space? During the survey it was found out that excessive use of cell phones is responsible to kill face-to-face interactions between people (Glaser 2007). It is unfortunate to know that the real life interactions are considered to be less effective and more time is given to solve the issues by making discussions on cell phones through conversations, instant messaging, and texting and through face book mails. This happens especially in case of young people. How do Mobile Phone users Engage in Developing their Personality Online and in What ways it Reflects the Reality? When an individual engages in developing his/her personality online, the understanding and formation of own identity gets highly affected. The main purpose of this research is to bring into notice the effects of excessive use of social media and its influence (Nicholas, 2010). Youth forgets the value of real life and real relationships and simply keeps their focus on how to make their personality strong online to attract more people and make more friends. Sample and Methodology This study was conducted to know the degree of influence that the use of mobile phone can bring. Around ten interviews were conducted. The main focus was to target the youth of Singapore to know their habits and criteria for excessive use of cell phones in public (Ritter, Gordon and Elizabeth 2014). Not only youth but people between the age group of 30-50 were also contacted to know their opinion towards the use of mobile phone and its influence in the real life. Direct interview was conducted and their opinions were noted down so that a clear conclusion can be dropped in this report. Data were collected from different people in Singapore maintaining equal ratios in relation to female, male employees, students and businessmen. Findings and Analysis From the above research study it is clear that in recent years the usage of mobile phones has increased a lot and it is affecting badly the real life of the youth. The use of mobile phone in middle of a conversation when two or more people are talking gives a negative impression. (Lizette 2013). The frequent use of mobile phone can bring negative effects to the health of the user. Constant ringing, reminders and vibrations can put a user on edge. It can also cause risk of illness in the users immune system (Ling, Wonil and Gavriel 2007). The oily residue or greasy substance on the mobile phone can cause severe disease as it contains disease prone germs (Thome, Annika and Mats 2011). Staring at the screen of cell phone constantly can cause vision problem as well. Conclusion We can conclude by saying that mobile phones have changed our world. People start using their phone in leisure hours, business, school, etc. People rely on them for many things, such as, conference calls, video calls, etc. There is no doubt that emergence of advanced features in mobile phone has bought many technological advancements but we cannot ignore the fact that is its bringing negative impact in the real life of the users. The users should limit the use of cell phones to ensure a healthy life. From the research conducted it was developed that youth makes more usage of mobile phones and they should know its negative impact that could be dangerous to their life, career and future. The use of mobile phone should be banned in public places to create a sense of comfort and healthy environment for all to survive. References David, Buckingham. (2008). Interestingly, recordar is a cousin of the wordcorazà ³n, meaning heart, as the heart has been thought of as the center of memory and emotions. False-friend alert: Except in poor translations from English, recordar is not used for meaning to record. Verbs used for that purpose include anotar (to write down) and grabar (to make a sound or video recording). Acordarse de: Also commonly used for to remember is the reflexive verb acordarse followed by the preposition de. As you might have guessed, acordarse is also a cousin of corazà ³n. It also is conjugated following the same pattern as recordar. Me acuerdo de la brisa que nos acariciaba. I remember the breeze that would caress us.à ¿Por quà © a veces nos acordamos de lo que soà ±amos y otras veces no? Why do we sometimes remember what we dream and other times we dont?La respuesta corta a la pregunta es no, no se acordaron de nosotros. The short answer to the question is no, they didnt remember us.No quiero acordarme de ayer. I dont want to remember yesterday. Rememorar: Spanish does have a cognate of remember, rememorar, but it isnt used very often, and then usually to refer to an event being memorialized or recognized: Presidente Correa rememorà ³ la masacre del 2 de agosto. President Correa remembered the Aug. 2 massacre. Olvidar: Olvidar is the only verb in common use that means to forget. It sometimes is used in the reflexive form, often in the phrase olvidarse de, which can (but doesnt always) suggest deliberate forgetting. In some areas, olvidarse without the de is common. Los Spurs olvidaron el estilo que los habà a distinguido. The Spurs forgot the style that had distinguished them.à ¡Ayà ºdame! Olvidà © mi contraseà ±a de Hotmail. Help! Ill forget that you were mine and that now I will lose you.à ¿Por quà © nos olvidamos de fechas importantes? Why do we forget important dates?à ¡No olvidemos lo nuestro! Lets not forget whats ours! Often olvidarse can function like gustar, in that the thing forgotten becomes the subject of the verb, and the person(s) who forgot becomes the indirect object: Es un video que no se te olvidar nunca. Its a video youll never forget. (Literally, its a video that will never be forgotten to you.)Un dà a se me olvidaron las llaves del carro. One day I forgot the car keys.Se me olvidà ³ el coche en el autolavado y cerraba a las 6. I forgot the car in the car wash and it closed at 6. Teaching Literacy Midterm Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 750 words
Teaching Literacy Midterm - Essay Example 326.) The demands of making meanings, stresses the students to activate their prior knowledge and schemata abilities. Schema theory explains how our previous experiences, knowledge, emotions, and understandings affect what and how we learn. (Harvey & Goudvis, 2000). Lapp, Flood & Farnan (2004, p.326) writes that, "Content area teaching has a detailed link with schema theory and prior knowledge."The notion of 'prior knowledge' comprises of few subordinate ideas, which are the 'characteristics of prior knowledge', 'historical back ground', the circumstances of learning and 'classroom acts' (Lapp, Flood & Farnan (2004, p. 326). Lapp, Flood & Farnan (2004, p. 326) write that, "This collection of related, hierarchically arranged ideas is a schema." Few followers of this theory even believed that the single most influential factor is the existing and prior knowledge of the readers on which it depends that what he ends up learning from the material (Eric Digest). The accuracy, sufficiency and appropriateness of a schema, needs to be tackled by the instructor in a very delicate and planned manner. Students can make most out of their schemas if only the teachers know how to activate it. (Lapp, Flood & Farnan, 2004, p. ... The renewed awareness in reading was reinforced by the International Reading Association in 1999. The document focused on "advanced levels of literacy" and considered "their ability to read will be crucial". Many instructors turned to interactive manner of teaching reading. Boothe and Walter (1999) quote McCormick, T. (1988) who writes that, "It one of the most promising approaches to the theory of reading today." Boothe and Walter (1999) write that, "An interactive reading model is a reading model that recognizes the interaction of bottom-up and top-down processes simultaneously throughout the reading process." But the reader needs "to interacting with the text, is selective in using just as little of the cues from text as necessary to construct meaning (Goodman, K. 1981). Most of the reading models, share a common postulation, that many "variables impact student's learning from text" (Pearson, Kamil, Bar & Mosenthal, 2000, p.647). They concerned themselves with cognitive psychology, schema, instructional strategies and the text. Boothe and Walter (1999) while quoting Rumelhart, D. 1985 write, "write that, "These various sources of information appear to interact in many complex ways during the process of reading In this scenario the teacher has to play a role of an instructional designer and their tool is 'text'. Once students are able to develop an understanding of text and identify the text structures then the road begins for towards independent reading. According to Buehl (2009, p.72) the benefits of involving the students in this model means "to condition the students to read material at different rates for verifying purposes" is similar to the core principle of content area literacy. Fiji Electricity System Research Paper Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 2000 words
Fiji Electricity System - Research Paper Example The value of imports from Fiji has been increasing and hit the $3 billion US mark in 2006. The main contributing factor to the increase is the mineral fuels importation. The mineral fuels have increased in value since 2004 to 2008. It represents a change from US$400 to about $1.2 billion. The overdependence of the industryââ¬â¢s on fuel importation reveals how the economy is vulnerable to the rising fuel prices. The vulnerability is of concern given that the increase in demand for electric power has overwhelmed Monasavu Hydropower Station limits over the last decade. It results in the supplementation of its energy requirements with diesel generation (F.E.A. n.d.). Fiji can be termed as better than its larger neighbors. It has about 80% of its people (about 92% in urban areas) accessing electricity. By 2008, its average electricity production mix was composed of 33.7% diesel, 62.1% hydro, 0.6% wind and 3.6% biomass. Energy consumption in Fiji has increased to 715.2 million kWh in 2009 from 202.8 million kWh in 1980. Because the hydropower component is variable as it depends on the weather patterns, the ever growing demand for electric power has to be fulfilled by importing diesel-based generation. FEA has an ambitious plan of producing 90% of its electricity by use of renewable energy resources by 2015 (Lal & Atul n.d) Fijis pricing tariff rates are the lowest in the Pacific Islands region. As of recent times, its rates have stagnated though there was a marked increase in its demand and diesel usage. The cause of its low tariff prices is its rejection by the independent power producers because FEA could not pay them suitable buying rates. As at present, FEA supplies about 54% of the electricity market from its hydropower stations as it gets the rest from thermal generation. This condition is expected to change upon the installation of a new 42-MW hydropower system. In regards to estimates made by FEA, generation of

Culture and People Essay Example for Free
Culture and People Essay Does culture have an impact on who we are? Have you ever notice that what is the main difference between people around the world? People eat different foods, wear variant clothes, believe in various things, and have different appearances but the main difference is how people behave and this difference comes from their culture. Culture is the shared knowledge and schemes created by a set of people for interpreting, expressing, and responding to the social realities around them. Culture means the series of norms and values that the public believe in and behave accordingly. These beliefs comes from parents and goes from one generation to another and influence peopleââ¬â¢s behavior. Culture has an impact on peopleââ¬â¢s life because it affects peopleââ¬â¢s life, their society, and the world. Parents are the first teachers that kids learn lot of things from their fathers and mothers. The environment of a family that a child grow up in is the most important thing that influences her/his behavior because children learn how to live like their parents and parents try to teach their children the culture that their society has. People are influenced by their culture and sometimes more than one culture can be influencing a person, such as Native Tribes living in a modern society. If people from different Countries were raised in the same society then those people would have the same culture and those people would believe in the same things. Traditions help people to show their beliefs, for example Halloween is a holiday that is showing what American people celebrate, it represents as a symbol for American culture. Most people would agree that their own has been important to their shaping and development, enriched their lives and often, led to their life decisions but their culture is the products of human action which is inherited independently of the biological genes. The way that one person think not only affects people around that person but it also affects that Society. The difference between cultures will never end because it is hard to change what people believe In. People may learn lot of things from their friends but when a person wants to make a decision he/she will always compare it with her/his culture. For example personal zone is one of the traditions that most of the American people do. In the personal zone, the conversation gets more direct, and this is a good distance for two people who are talking in earnest about something. Society has always been impacted by technology. Each invention has affected how people relate to one another and how cultures have expanded or ended. Technology impacts how cities grow, where people live, and who owns what. Technologies are the reason a few people are very rich, that people are more social, and that teaching and learning is changing. People in the 21st century are at a crucial time in history where as educators can make a difference in how students interact with one another and make a place in society. People developed a language so they could communicate and invented tools for agriculture, to build homes, and to create weapons for hunting and protection. Over time many people have been influenced by other cultures and that is where different cultures meet each other. So this is the cultural evolution which people affect other cultures and cultures affect people as well. For example when a person moves to another country he/she gets influenced by that countryââ¬â¢s culture and also that person can affect her/his society too. Peopleââ¬â¢s culture influences their belief system which affects the way that people see the world . Although culture is integrated with sociology, anthropology, psychology, religions , and other aspects however this paper focuses on peopleââ¬â¢s behavior, globalism, and the cultural evolution. Culture makes societies unique, making it an essential element in influencing peopleââ¬â¢s everyday lives. It is also important to be able to recognize and respect other cultures, and not believe ones own culture is more valuable or superior than the rest. Hope that one day there would be peace all around the world and all people would speak the same language.

Colonialism in the Literary Short Story Essay -- Literary Analysis
The idea of heritage and tradition in the modern world has become an idea of importance to both the indigenous peoples and the descendants of the European colonists who attempted to Westernize the lands they discovered and the people in them. This idea has taken numerous forms in recent years and not-so-recent years. One form it has been examined in is the literary short story. Thomas Kingââ¬â¢s ââ¬Å"One Good Story, That Oneâ⬠and Chinua Achebeââ¬â¢s ââ¬Å"Dead Menââ¬â¢s Pathâ⬠use characters and conflict to make a statement about the loss of tradition and heritage in order to demonstrate the effect of colonialism on indigenous people and their culture. The representatives of colonialism in these stories are white men in positions of superiority. In Kingââ¬â¢s story, they take the role of anthropologists, well-educated and well-dressed, while in Achebeââ¬â¢s story, the white man is a supervisor in charge of overseeing everything the black main character does. The presence of these men, all of European descent, is a metaphor for the manner in which the original colonist behaved. The supervisorââ¬â¢s position of authority over the ââ¬Ëlesserââ¬â¢ black man is reflective of the attitude that causes loss of heritage, while in Kingââ¬â¢s story the attitude the anthropologists display is that of the conqueror: expecting to have their wants (to hear an old traditional story) met by those who have been conquered. They do not even deign to sit with the person they are asking this of. ââ¬Å"These three like to stand. Stand still.â⬠(pg... p...) These characters remain nameless and faceless, only known by their titles, throughout both stories. Perhaps this is because their true purpose in the story is not as a character, but as a symbol for the attitudes of the colonists. If the white men ... ...ce if the lessons taught through these literary short stories are taken to heart and lived out in daily life. Works Cited Achebe, Chinua. "Dead Men's Path." The Iliad Achilles Rage Essays - 1052 Words
`Rage--Goddess, sing the rage of Peleus son Achilles The first line of the Iliad describes a human emotion that leads to doom and destruction in Homers poetic tale of the Trojan War. Achilles rage is a major catalyst in the action in the Iliad. It is his rage that makes him both withdraw from and, later, rejoin the war with a fury. Why is Achilles enraged? Is his rage ignited solely by his human adversaries or do the gods destine him to the experience? Achilles rage has many facets. His rage is a personal choice and, at times, is created by the gods. The Iliad begins with the clash between Achilles and Agamemnon. Agamemnon has little, if any, respect for the gods. This is displayed by his irreverentâ⬠¦show more contentâ⬠¦Achilles questions himself, Should he draw the long sharp sword slung at his hip, thrust through the ranks and kill Agamemnon now?--or check his rage and beat his fury down? (108). Here, Hera has Athena intervene to keep Achilles from killing Agamemnon, which shows how the gods control Achilles destiny. The argument between Achilles and Agamemnon clearly shows that the two men have different opinions about the power of the gods, what is holy or unholy, and what is proper treatment of other men. These differences are one source of Achilles rage. Achilles is also angry at having to fight another mans battle. The Trojan War is being fought because Paris stole Helen, Agamemnons sister-in-law. In his argument with Agamemnon, Achilles points out It wasnt Trojan spearmen who brought me here to fight. The Trojans never did me damage, not in the least (107). Achilles rage heightens in the argument and he declares No, you colossal, shameless--we all followed you, to please you, to fight for you, to win your honor back from the Trojans---Menelaus and you, you dog-face! (108). Achilles is also angry because even though he and many other soldiers are there risking their lives for Agamemnon and Menelaus, Agamemnon is sly enough to avoid personal injury.
